Today I woke up to a great honor. My book “The Doctors Guide to Eliminating Debt” was just included as the 4th ranked doctor specific book to read for those looking to learn about personal finance. This list was published today by The White Coat Investor on his blog. If you have not yet read the book, now is the time. This is what The White Coat Investor had to say about “The Doctors Guide to Eliminating Debt.”
This one by surgeon Cory Fawcett is short and focused on just one topic, but it’s an important one. I read the whole thing on a flight between Houston and Little Rock, so if you can’t get through this one, well, I guess there’s no hope for you. Think of it as “Dave Ramsey for Doctors, but without the bad investment advice.” Cory’s other books are also pretty good, including The Doctor’s Guide to Starting Your Practice Right and The Doctor’s Guide to Smart Career Alternatives and Retirement. At the rate he’s pumping these out, there will be another one by the time this post runs!
Read the article and see the full list of his recommended books here. After you read a book, if you liked it and found it helpful, honor the author’s effort with a short review on Amazon. Reviews help others find the books they need to help them improve their finances. Pick a few books to read off his list and your financial IQ will skyrocket.
What is your favorite financial book for doctors?
I am just looking at your blog, via WCI.
Your “Travel While Young” column is one I particularly agree with!
