With the start of the new decade I am making some needed updates to my financial coaching/author business. The biggest change is the new brand and address where you will find me on the web. Up until now I have used my name, Dr. Cory S. Fawcett, for all of my social media links. Financial Success MD is the new updated brand.
FinancialSuccessMD.com is my new web site address. We will be correspondingly changing the addresses on other social media sites to match.
This is something I have been toying with for quite some time. I hate to give up the current Google and Alexa rankings and start over from scratch with a new website, but in the long run it should be for the better to use a name that describes what I do instead of my actual name which doesn’t tell you anything about me.
You have been receiving my blog from cory@drcorysfawcett.com. Now the blog will be coming from md@financialsuccessmd.com. Please mark that email address as safe, or white list it on your email site so our correspondences don’t end up marked as spam. Thursday you should receive my blog article from the new email address. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder and mark it as safe.
Due to popular request, I have started a new recommended section of the website. This will grow over the next year as I add new categories. The first one, which is there now, is Flat Fee Financial Advisors. Watch for more categories over the next few months.
I have fielded many comments about the title of my first book, The Doctors Guide to Starting Your Practice Right. Seems the word “practice” causes some confusion. Some people think the book is about starting a “private practice” instead of starting “any medical practice.” Employed physicians don’t realize the book is for them. We will soon come out with a new name that does not use the word “Practice.” This will help the right people find the book and get the help they need. I will announce the new title when it is ready.
I’m sure there will be a few bumps in the road as this transition happens. If you run into any broken links, or the old website is still listed somewhere, please let me know so it can be fixed.
