(Want to meet me in person and attend my live lectures? Please join me at the White Coat Investor’s Financial Literacy and Wellness Conference, February 5-8, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. I will be giving two lectures at this amazing conference where I have spoken multiple times in the past. One lecture on Regaining the Joy of Being a Physician and the other on Living a Wealthy Life. If you have some of my books, bring them with you and get them autographed at my book signing event or catch me in the hall. There will also be books available to purchase on site. A few of you can even have dinner with me! Hope to see you there.)
As I encounter information I feel is especially valuable, I like to pass it on to my readers. The following are a few recent gems I discovered. I hope you find them as useful as I did.
This episode of Fawcett’s Favorites includes my two new book awards, Americans are better off financially than they were a few decades ago, time mastery for high achievers, financial New Year’s resolutions, and the best physician financial blogs of 2024.
Happy reading!
Two of my books were recently entered into the North American Book Awards. I am proud to say both won medals. The Doctors Guide to Real Estate Investing for Busy Professionals, which has shown thousands of doctors that they too can own investment real estate, received a GOLD medal. A Guide to Loving Your Timeshare, which tells the story of happy timeshare owners like me and how to become one, took SILVER. In celebration of this I am giving away 100 autographed copies of these two books. Just email me with your name, address, and which book you want, and I’ll mail you a copy anywhere in the continental US.
Have you heard anyone say Americans were better off financially in the past? Or maybe they commented that almost everyone used to be able to live the American Dream on only one income. It turns out that the notion of it being better in the past is not actually true. A Wealth of Common Sense took a close look at the facts in a recent article titled, Americans are Better off than You Think, and came to a different conclusion than mainstream has been pushing. After reading this article, what conclusion have you reached.
Is time or money the more valuable commodity? Wealthy Doc makes the case for Time in his recent article on Time Mastery for High Achievers. If you want to master your time, start by reading his article. Then consider taking my High Performance coaching program and reclaim your mastery of time.
Most of us make New Year’s Resolutions, but before January ends most have fallen off the wagon. Physician on FIRE laid out a nice set of Fourteen Financial New Year’s Resolutions for a Better 2024. If you just implement one resolution from his list, you will have a better year financially. Imagine what would happen if you implemented them all! I’m especially partial to #10 on his list.
If you are looking for new blogs to follow, start with this list of The Best Physician Financial Blogs of 2024 collected by The Motivated MD. I’m sure you will find someone on this list that motivates you.
I hope you enjoy these articles as much as I did. I look forward to updating you again in the near future with a few more items of interest. If you find anything you think I should share with my readers, send me the link so I can add it to the next installment of Fawcett’s Favorites.
